Toshiba's European Customer Support Service Incentive 2011
On the 1st of the month several of our engineers flew to Germany to compete in the 4 day Toshiba European Customer Support Service incentive. Over 300 engineers from over 30 countries competed in this event. This competition was split into 50% theory and 50% practical work, which allowed the engineers to demonstrate their knowledge and skills in various areas of Toshiba technology. Once again our engineers performed well, with Martyn Young taking third place!

Business Mobility Solutions
NCS are delighted to announce the introduction of Mobile Phones into our expanding telecoms portfolio.
Following a series of discussions we have selected to team up with
Vodafone Platinum Partners OneStream to help us provide cost effective mobile solutions to existing and new customers across the UK. NCS are working closely with Onestream. An initial product launch and structured training has already begun in Glasgow and will continue to be rolled out over the coming months.
This exciting new development follows the addition of Business Broadband last year and forms part of our long term strategy to expand our telecoms portfolio - an approach which supports our overall vision to offer customers complete communication solutions under one roof.

NCS Race for Life
This year 16 ladies from NCS Glasgow Office joined the thousands across the UK to help more people beat cancer. Everyone at NCS got behind the ladies to support them as they took part in Cancer Research’s largest UK Race for Life event which kicked off in Glasgow Green on Sunday 5th June. Together the NCS team raised incredible ONE THOUSAND, SEVEN HUNDRED AND SIXTY–SIX POUNDS for Cancer Research UK.
Thank you once again to everyone who supported the team and most importantly huge congratulation to all 16 ladies who took part and made it happen.

Glasgow City 7’s
Over the years NCS have been actively involved in supporting local sports and youth projects throughout Scotland therefore it was with great pleasure that we are able to act as main sponsors and support this year’s Glasgow City Seven’s 2011.
This fantastic rugby tournament took place on Saturday 14th May at Cartha Queens Park RFC in Dumbreck and was once again a huge success for organisers, spectators and competitors alike. Among the highlights we watched event new comers Glasgow Warriors storm to victory with an impressive eight try, 48-0 final victory over London Wasps.

Toshiba Tech Incentive 2011
Earlier on this month engineers from various NCS branches competed with over 200 engineers from across the UK in the Toshiba Tech Service Incentive. This competition consisted of both practical and theory elements in order to fully assess the engineers’ level of skill and knowledge. The competition was tough but NCS are pleased to announce that one of our engineers, Martyn Young claimed second place!

Supporting Youth Development at Grass Roots
Over the years NCS have been actively involved in supporting local sports and youth projects, once again we are delighted to show our commitment to youth sports, this time with Glasgow's Cartha Queens Park Rugby Club by funding the development of their new website http://www.carthaqp.org/
The exiting new site went live earlier this month and allows the club to promote the facilities and communicate to existing members more effectively whilst providing strong foundations to help develop and strengthen the club going forward. NCS wish Cartha every success in the future.

Carbon Offsetting Made Simple
NCS are delighted to offer our environmentally conscious customers the option to offset the carbon footprint of their new Toshiba MFD's to help achieve positive printing and copying with a less detrimental effect on the environment. Toshiba are committed to the environment and with the help of carbon offsetting expert’s co2balance, they can offset the carbon footprint of your Toshiba MFP plus the first million pages.
It’s clear that human activities are causing the global climate to get significantly warmer; making finding ways to reduce our greenhouse gas emissions vital – but this is where carbon offsetting can help. Carbon Offsetting allows for the investment in projects that save the emission of, or absorb, an equivalent amount of CO2 to that of your MFP footprint plus the first million copies. Through this process the emissions are balanced to become ‘Carbon Zero’, which allows for positive printing and copying with no detrimental effect on the environment.
