Business Development Executive - Purfleet

NCS is proud to be one of the largest office technology providers in the UK and as such have strong relationships with some of the world’s major office equipment manufacturers which include Mitel, Toshiba, Lexmark, Panasonic, FP Mailing and many more. Due to the success of our current sales team we are currently recruiting for ambitious Business Development Executives to join our division in Purfleet.

Reporting to the Sales Director, your role as Business Development Executive will concentrate on generating new business sales opportunities for the core office technologies of Print, Post & Telecoms as well as new business, a key responsibility of this role is to manage and develop a small base of existing accounts. This opening should be viewed as an opportunity to break in to a professional sales role or progression from a desk based sales role.

The Package

This position offers the successful candidate(s) a rare opportunity to work hard to determine their own annual earnings; with competitive basic salary and uncapped commission rates amongst the highest in the industry.

OTE: £50,000 pa, Uncapped Commission, Company Car and Fuel Card/Car Allowance (after 3 months successful probationary period), Laptop & Mobile. Please be aware this is an Office Based field sale role where your time will be split between visiting customers/potential customer and the purfleet office. (Home/Hybrid Working is not applicable)

  • The successful candidate(s) will be driven, confident, proactive and a good relationship builder.
  •  Computer literate, organised, able to prioritise and deliver results
  • Strong communication skills, with face-to-face sales environment experience desirable
  • Excellent telephone manner
  • Self-motivated with drive to succeed
  • B2B sales experience advantageous
  • Although not essential experience in Photocopier/Telecoms/Office Equipment sales is desirable
  • A full driving licence is essential
  • Prospecting or cold calling to identify potential opportunities
  •  Appointment making from your own activity
  • Telesales from new data

  • Good literacy and numeracy skills.

  • This is an end to end role so you’ll be attending meetings, assessing your customers needs and determining how NCS can help. 
  • You’ll develop and present tailored proposals that will result in happy customers and new business for NCS. 
  • Ultimately you will be responsible for reaching, and exceeding, the very realistic performance targets you will be given by completing these activities, meeting all key performance indicators, keeping our business CRM updated 
  • Job Type: Permanent 
  • Basic Salary: £18,000 to £22,000 per annum, based on experience. 
  • OTE: £30,000 is genuinely achievable in first year. However this is uncapped. Your earnings can grow year and year as you progress in your career. 
  • A company car and fuel card are also provided (after 3 months successful probationary period) as well as a laptop and mobile phone. 
  • Progression! Many of our new Field Sales Executives have went on to become senior, highly successful, and key members of our teams, they’ll help you get there too. We’re keen to support and reward rapid progression within our teams.
